There’s something to be said for authenticity, simplicity, and just doing things correctly. The folks at Needle & Bean precisely hit all these notes. The coffee is consistently fantastic, reasonably priced, and worth a trip out of the way for. The vinyl selection is unlike any in Pittsburgh, with artists and albums that can’t be found in-person elsewhere. Not to mention, it’s an inviting, warm space where I can go solo or with my child - something I wouldn’t do at most record stores. 10/10, worth your time and money.

I’ve only been living in the area a few months and was overjoyed to discover Needle & Bean. Great coffee, great vibes, and great tunes. The baristas are friendly and it’s a great spot to write alone, catch up with friends, or browse their impressive vinyl collection.

What a gem, clean and cozy coffee shop with records.. what more could you ask for? I don’t get to come here as often as I’d like, but my lattes have always been great and there are juice boxes and muffins to keep the kids happy. Thank you to the owners for standing up for decency!

Needle & Bean is such a cool spot! It’s the perfect mix of a cozy coffee shop and a vinyl record store, right in Mt. Lebanon. The vibe is super chill and modern—clean lines, warm wood accents, and just the right amount of minimalist charm. It’s a great place to relax or get some work done. The coffee? Amazing. They’ve got everything from lattes to drip coffee, and the pastries from Potomac Bakery are a nice bonus. But what really sets this place apart is the record selection. It’s all about independent labels and genres like jazz, punk, alternative, and classic rock. It feels like every record on the shelves was picked with care. The owner, Mike, clearly put a lot of thought into making this a space where people can come together to enjoy great coffee and discover new music. If you’re in the area, you’ve got to check it out. It’s quickly become one of my favorite places to hang out. Five stars all the way!

Hands down, my favorite coffee shop in the area. The coffee is insanely good, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions and chat. I love coming here for a quiet moment alone or with my family/friends. It’s so fun to browse the vinyl collection and they can special order for you if they don’t have something you’re looking for! Love this place so much.

Enjoyed my coffee and finding a record I’ve been looking for since I got my record player! Such a cute and cozy place to enjoy coffee or do work! Can’t wait to go back!

Simply some of the best coffee I've ever had. Purchased a hot vanilla lattee and a caramel hot latte. Both were delicious. The building is cozy and also sells records. The bathroom was accessible and clean. The business sells Leona's ice cream sandwiches too which are a local delicacy. Will come here again.
